The survey – which asks a random selection of employees to rate areas such as work/life balance, pay and benefits, training and development and social responsibility - highlighted that 83% of the firm felt their job was good for their personal growth and 82% were excited about where the firm was going.
Judges at the awards ceremony – which took place on Thursday March 1st at the Battersea Park Events Arena in London – commented:
“Davis Langdon isn’t just good at building award-winning developments. It also knows how to build a happy, motivated workforce. The firm scores an 85% positive rating for being a place that workers would recommend to others and would not want to leave if they were offered another job (81%).
In addition, they remarked:
“Good leadership is usually found at the heart of a successful company and that’s the case here. Staff have a great deal of faith in senior partner Rob Smith, who heads the UK organisation and confidence in the leadership skills of the senior management team.”
Senior Partner Rob Smith comments: “To be recognised, once again, as one of the ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ and, indeed, to move in the right direction on the list, is a tremendous achievement and thanks must go to all our staff who took time to complete the questionnaire. Investing in our staff’s wellbeing and development has always been of the utmost importance and it is extremely satisfying to know that our staff feel such an integral part of the firm and have a very real sense of shared responsibility for our success.”
The firm’s Graduate Development Programme, which has won a National Training Award led to Rob Tovey, RICS Director of Education and Training commenting that “Davis Langdon’s Graduate Development Programme is without doubt the benchmark other firms aspire to.”
