Responding to future demand
In the UK the numbers of passengers travelling by rail continue to grow and that poses challenges for both private operators and Government in terms of the provision of extra capacity to an already crowded system.
The wider economic climate is placing increasing obligations of demonstrable value for money for both consumers and for the Government with a diminishing tax take available for complex infrastructure which demands substantial capital investment to positively influence choices of transport mode. This is ‘home ground’ for Davis Langdon and our breadth and depth of services enable us to provide creative and situation specific solutions for the full range of clients involved in Surface Transportation.
What does Surface Transportation cover?
Currently, the two key elements of focus for Davis Langdon are rail, both heavy and light and bus. Often the two are interlinked with intermodal facilities becoming more popular, particularly as towns and cities are increasingly faced with congestion on the roads with the detrimental effect on both the quality of life and on the economic performance of the country.
